and makes a pathetic attempt, at best

Some of the chapters are actually interesting, but most of them seem to struggle to draw clear connections between business ethics and philosophy. The chapters written by Mollie Painter-Morland, one of the editors, are particularly heinous. Painter-Morland excessively uses philosophic jargon while hardly ever defining her terms, and makes a pathetic attempt, at best, to bring the topic back around to the connections between her continental vomit and the actual subject of the chapter. For professors, I'd stick with a more traditional text and save yourself and your students the frustration.

The early economists had their roots in philosophy. Now a days people think that philosophy is irrelevant in our everyday decision making process & hence in morality and I beg to differ, as a trained philosopher myself both in undergrad & grad school: philosophy is now needed more than ever ESPECIALLY IN BUSINESS. I rate this textbook as a must for philosophy students and as well as business students.
